Bright colures – kitchen furniture and worktops

Why bright colures

Modern home interior design tends to favour neutral colours. It results mainly from the fact that neutral colours are safe and agree with characteristic features of home design – these are minimalism, functionality and simplicity. What’s more, natural colours are also frequently associated with natural colours, with colours of nature. After all, there are mostly whites, blacks, browns and beiges – all these colours can be easily associated with elements of nature as well as with natural materials used for creating furniture and worktops such as wood, natural stones, granite or marble. Yet, the fact that such colours are by definition favoured by contemporary design doesn’t mean that bright colours are completely discarded. What’s interesting, bright colours have their own place as well.flower

Where can you easily find bright colours – think for example of single walls in your home, which are frequently brightly coloured in order to stand out from the otherwise neutral background, or consider smaller decorative elements that are bright for exactly the same purpose. Bright colours can be easily found in modern home interiors, as well as in the traditional ones. In fact, there’s no definite saying that bright colours are somehow banned from given styles and designs. If only they are chosen with great care and coordinate well with overall colour scheme, there’s really no problem at all.

What’s more, bright colours can be really great additions to your overall home décor. After all, thy are bright which means they are vivid, full of inner energy and live. They are energetic and have certain vibe that definitely draws attention of your guests and your family members. Simply imagine, juicy green pillow cushions set against white washed kitchen or think of azure blue picture frames against grey background of your living room walls. Bright worktops and cabinets

What’s more, bright colours can make great kitchen cabinets and worktops. Think of a clear line of smooth and highly polished kitchen cabinets – blue like midday sky. Of course, such brightly coloured cabinets won’t work well in a clumsy and cluttered kitchen where everything is out of place. If you’re counting on the great final effect be careful to have  proper background, the setting and stage is essential. The same goes with sunny yellow kitchen worktop – it needs perfect setting to shine fully. Simple advice is – never underestimate the background.
